White Hart Lane

White Hart Lane Stadium was built in 1898 and is the home ground for North London football club, Tottenham Hotspur.

Designed by Archibald Leitch, the old ground held over 36,000 people and is located in London’s N17 postcode. The stadium has undergone a number of redesigns during its life and closed in 2017 to be demolished and fully reconstructed in 2018, with all of Tottenham’s home games in that period being moved to Wembley.

The new ground, named Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, opened on 3rd April 2019 and holds over 60,000, making it the largest club stadium in London. It also includes 579 new homes, a hotel, a community health centre, and an extreme sports building. Still, White Hart Lane will be affectionately remembered by fans as a ground with a rich history, and an atmospheric stadium that hosted England international matches as well as NFL games for the London Monarchs American Football Team.

About the project

White Hart Lane was modelled using reference images taken on-site with a high-resolution camera.

Using the more basic LOD3 model for accuracy, checking all heights were accurate, and then upgraded to LOD4 by adding materials to make the model appear more realistic.
