Wembley Stadium
VU.CITY MODELS
Wembley Stadium is located in North West London and was built in 2007 following the demolition of the original Wembley Stadium in 2003. The ground is used to host sporting events, and as the home of English football, it stages England’s international football matches, important FA Cup ties, and also a wide variety of music events.
Wembley Stadium
About the project
As with many of London’s landmarks, modelling Wembley Stadium was both a privilege and a challenge. We began by constructing a low-poly – but highly accurate – model of the building in-house using high-resolution images and our photogrammetry software. This was then handed over to the LOD4 modelling team to add the façades and flesh out more of the detail, which was accomplished using more high res images, both from external sources and on-site visits by the team. Finally, we added the stadium’s distinctive exterior lighting and rendered the completed model in Cinema 4D.
We capture 3D models for a number of different clients, from architectural services all the way to visual FX. This model can be used as a stand-alone model or can fit seamlessly into our wider area London model.
